Francesca Alfano Miglietti
Lara Gasparotto (Liège, 1989) is one of today’s most fascinating photographers. She swiftly developed a spontaneous style in which she documents her own life. Gasparotto often photographs the young people around her, but she also has an unmatched ability to distil the atmosphere of landscapes and interiors. Her pictures reveal her love of the countryside in which she grew up and to which she frequently returns, also during her many journeys to places like Kyrgyzstan, Ethiopia, Mexico and Andalusia. The photographs are permeated with beauty and intimacy.
Ask the Dusk groups new work produced by Gasparotto in the past two years. The introduction is by the art historian Francesca Alfano Miglietti from Milan, who curated the award-winning exhibition
Through Women’s Eyes last year in Venice.
